HNTB

HNTB was experiencing 15% year over year growth and its corporate real estate department was struggling with the workload.  Engaged to conduct an organizational review and recommend realignment, develop CRE processes & tools, provide portfolio strategy and assist with selection of a national corporate services provider.  Served as interim Director of Real Estate while HNTB filled the open position.   Lead portfolio strategy, site selection, transaction & project execution.  AS COVID-19 shutdowns rolled out across the country, tracked and reported impacted jurisdictions where HNTB had offices.  Recommended return-to-office strategies; provided questionnaire to support local office discussions with landlords about building preparedness for return-to-office.  Developed and ran an RFP process to select a national CRE service provider partner.  Once the new Director of Real Estate was engaged, helped transition incumbent into her job and oversaw the transition to the new service provider while new Director of Real Estate got up to speed.

Major Financial Institution

Engaged to conduct CRE organizational study including recommending organization structure, utilizing both internal and outsourcing resources; developed job descriptions. As organization was in the midst of major expansion through acquisition, engaged to define and map processes, develop tools and write due diligence handbook for use when evaluating candidate acquisitions.

Ingersoll Rand

Worked with head of CRE to develop strategic portfolio plan for Atlanta market in context of the acquisition of Trane. Key issue was determining impact on customers of consolidating sales offices.

Johnson Diversey, Inc. (JDI)

Provided due diligence support for global portfolio upon acquisition of Diversey Lever by Johnson Wax Professional. Served as strategic advisor to head of Global Real Estate and Facilities for several years assisting in the development of mission, vision and values statements, development of organization structure, process development and documentation and facilitating of quarterly performance reviews.

La-Z-Boy

Served as team leader and liaison between project teams of contracted architects, construction manager and in-house project team for the implementation of a 500 store floor redesign project for designated stores in the 50 states.

Texas Instruments

Served as strategic advisor to head of CRE for several years assisting in development of CRE organizational structure, vision, mission and values. Served as facilitator for annual team meetings. Worked with TI to develop CRE service delivery processes, tools and key metrics. Developed strategic planning approach for the full portfolio. Advised on complex transactions and issues with problematic landlords.
